Northeast District Events
We welcome all members and potential members to join the meeting to and learn more about the Northeast District of the CPTA.
In honor of PT Day of Service 2021, the Northeast District is hosting a Fall Risk Screening at the Oak Park Farmers Market.
Treadmill, Stationary cycling/trainers, Ergs, or Functional Fitness: Any of these modes of exercise could have full weekend courses dedicated to their specific movement analysis, adaptive/maladaptive patterns, and functional implications. This session is not one of those courses. Come hear subject matter experts pitch high level overviews to familiarize participants with basic, common errors and related considerations.
The Northeast District will host a 2-hour online webinar on Motivational Interviewing with guest speaker, CPTA Director Oscar Gallardo.
The Northeast District of the California Physical therapy Association (CPTA) brings together CPTA leaders and a local Legislator for an informative, interactive forum.
Come network with Northeast District members and new CPTA Leaders in a relaxed, low-key setting
Attendees will gain an understanding and implementation of advanced strength and conditioning concepts for the athletic population including: applying strength principles in rehab, working with the aging athlete, using PRP for chronic tendinopathies, utilizing a sports medicine team, force velocity profiling and biomechanics of lifting. There will be 15 attendees per instructor ratio.
