Physical Therapy Day of Service and Ride for Research events this week

Greetings from your Northeast District Executive Committee,

With last week’s Assembly of Representatives and CPTA Annual Conference behind us, we are turning our attention from professional advocacy and education onto Service and Socializing!

Please see the following messages and check our calendars for details on how to participate in these events.

NED members asked and we are responding. Please consider joining us for physically distanced and masked fun on the American River this weekend to support Physical Therapy Research.

Leave your car at Discovery Park and join colleagues from 1-3pm this Sunday October 11th. There will be two cornhole competitions. One from 1-2pm and a second round from 2-3pm. $1 buy-in with prizes for the winner, procedures will benefit, you guessed it, The Ride for Research. Look for more details on our Calendar of Events page.

PTDOS

Your Northeast District is proud to announce that some of its members are participating in Physical Therapy Day of Service [PTDOS] 2020. The project planned is to make greeting cards for socially isolated individuals to foster a sense of community and togetherness. The goal is to create 600 personalized cards to be delivered to individuals in local SNFs.

The official date of PTDOS is Saturday, October 10th. There are many virtual and socially distanced service project ideas located on the PTDOS website. The Northeast District is excited to hear from its members on all the other service projects accomplished. Please post pictures and story on the Northeast Facebook page as well as tagging #PTDOS and #together.
